====ROMs by Hardware Platform====
__A1000__

ROMs are loaded via a Kickstart disk.

There are numerous hacks/mods that allows you to install ROMs on the A1000 motherboard. I even saw a 3.1 ROM for A1000. Crazy.

__A500/A2000__

At 2.0 and above ROMs for A500/A600/A2000 are all swap-able. I'm not clear there is IDE support in 2.0 if you swap from, say, an A500 to A600.
