    • don't make your IDE cable too long, issues start happening with the lack of buffering

SATA

  • there are some IDE-to-SATA adapters out there that will allow you to use your SSD
  • look for the ones that are bi-directional SATA2IDE and IDE2SATA; there really is a difference between SATA2IDE and IDE2SATA

CF

  • most of the IDE drives in Amigas should be converted over to Compact Flash drives; it's just easier to move, mount; they take a lot less power than a spinning iron
